Parental Voice

Your children’s centre needs YOU!

We are always keen for more parents and carers to get involved in our children’s centres, so that we can ensure that what we are doing is meeting the needs of the local community.  Here are some ways you can get involved!

Volunteering

You can volunteer at one of our centres – see the information on our Volunteering page.

Advisory Board

We have an Advisory Board made up of a variety of local partners such as schools, early years settings and health representatives who take a more strategic view on what we are doing.  The Advisory Board meets about 6 times a year.  We inform the Advisory Board about what we have been doing, how this links with our priorities for our area and what parents and carers have said about our services.

We have 3 parent representatives on the Advisory Board who attend meetings and whose role it is to be the voice of the parent on the Board.  They are all local parents with children under 5 who access children’s centre services.  You can contact any of our parent representatives by email – enquiries@stevenagenorthcc.org.uk.

Parent Representatives

Be our voice!

We have hundreds of families using our services but there are still families in the area who do not know what we do or where our centres are.  If you know someone with a child aged under 5, tell them about children’s centres and encourage them to visit!  There is nothing better than parents and carers hearing about what we do than from other parents and carers!
